Honesty is the quality of the person who works and acts with righteousness, justice and honesty. The word, as such, derives from honest , participle of the verb honor.

Honesty is based on respect for the other and on the valuation of the truth as a fundamental value of life in society.

In this sense, an honest person is one who is governed by moral values, who respects social norms, and who is consistent with it, that is, both in his way of acting and in his thinking, he behaves fairly, straight and full.

Thus, a person who acts with honesty will always avoid causing harm to others and will try to act correctly, with truth and honesty.

As such, honesty is considered a very valuable quality in a person, since it implies that he is someone trustworthy. Hence, honesty is fundamental to human relationships and activities that are based on them, such as work and community life. A society founded on values such as honesty would be more fair and harmonious.

Honesty is observed in everyday actions. An honest person does not steal, does not lie, does not deceive, does not betray. The honest person is guided by moral values, respect for laws and respect for the other.

If people in the world will always act in accordance with the dictates of honesty, there would be no murders, corruption or wars. The breach of the principles of honesty is the source of a huge amount of human conflict.

Therefore, the value of honesty must be instilled in us from an early age, so that from a very young age we will be able to understand the importance of guiding ourselves in life with truth, justice and righteousness.
